Good day friend!

Our church’s name, “Charis”, is a Greek word which means “God’s undeserving grace”. God’s undeserving grace is then also the foundation on which we build our ministry, whether it is to teach, reprimand, and testify or to worship.

Charis is an independent church. We focus on salvation through the acceptance of Jesus Christ as our personal Saviour, discipleship of new converts, teaching on the importance of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit to guide us in our spiritual walk, development and training of leaders and the creation of an environment where we can experience corporate worship and the ministry of God’s word and the gifts of the Spirit. This we do, because we are driven by our love for God, our fellow men and our community.

As we walk in obedience to God’s ordinances stipulated in Matthews 22:36-40 – to love the Lord your God with all you heart, with your entire mind and with all your soul and to love your neighbour as you love yourself – we experience growth towards spiritual maturity.

God has blessed us with anointed leaders, imparted with a variety of different spiritual gifts and ministries. Their serving the body of Christ has resulted in a church, with members well equipped, to serve the church, each other and the broader community.

Services are held on Sundays at 8h30 (Afrikaans), 11h00 (English) and 18h00 (Bi-lingual). A children’s church runs concurrently with the 8h30 and 11h00 services. Teenage classes for ages 13 to 19 are presented during the 8h30 service, just after praise and worship.
